What is the Students' Union?

The Students’ Union (SU) exists to provide support and represent student voice in all aspects of student life. The SU provides you with opportunities to have your say, receive advice and support, make friends, and pursue your interests. We hold annual elections for a variety of roles to make up the Students’ Union Officer Team, who all concentrate on specific elements of student life and work together to ensure each area gives students the best experience possible.

Get involved

We encourage you to be an active member of the student community. Do get involved as much as possible, you can do this by:

  • Taking part in various activities/events
  • Joining societies and clubs
  • Giving feedback/ideas - your voice matters!

Nominating yourself to be a part of the SU Officer Team, which consists of the following roles:

  • President
  • Athletic Union Officer
  • Activities Officer
  • Media Officer
  • Inclusions Officer
  • Education Officer

Becoming a member of the SU Team provides you with an exciting opportunity to positively impact and shape the university experience for all our students. Moreover, it will provide you with valuable experience that you can add to your CV.
